Sunita Ahuja worries her Diabetes will shoot up if she keeps thinking about Govinda’s alleged affairs

Mumbai, July 1 (IANS) Bollywood superstar Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja candidly admitted that dwelling on her husband’s alleged extra-marital affairs would only worsen her diabetes.

During an emotional conversation with fellow contestant Shreya Kalra on the reality show ‘Lock Up Season 2’, Sunita said that she has chosen to focus on her children and her own peace instead of worrying about the superstar and his alleged philandering ways.

Sunita was reminded by Shreya of an earlier interview in which she had spoken about infidelity and feeling cheated in her marriage.

Responding to the question, Sunita said, “Hua toh abhi kya kar sakte hain… shuru se hi hua hain na lekin? Hero hain toh you can’t say anything. Iss umar mein abhi sochunga toh diabetes aur badhega. Jaise chal raha hain chalne do.”

(If it happened, what can I do now? It has been there since the beginning, right? He is a hero, so you can’t say anything. At this age, if I keep thinking about these things, my diabetes will only increase. Let things continue the way they are)

When Shreya asked if she still feels sad, Sunita replied, “It is fine, I live for my kids.”

Asked whether she believes Govinda continues to be unfaithful, Sunita said, “Tum rok sakte ho kisi ko? Main 24 ghanta unke saamne baithi rahu? Samne wala bhi toh irritate ho jayga na? Main sochti hi nahi hoon.”

(Can you stop anyone? Should I sit in front of him 24 hours a day? The other person will also get irritated. I simply don’t think about it.)

Speaking about their living arrangement, she added, “We have got two houses. Unke ghar mein unhe milne bohot log aatey hain na. Mere ghar mein mujhe privacy chahiye.” (Many people come to meet him at his house. I want privacy in mine)

Sunita Ahuja has previously also spoken about how Govinda’s alleged affairs affected her initially but now she has made peace with it.

For the uninitiated, talking about Govinda and Sunita’s relationship the two got married in 1987 and have been together for nearly four decades.

The couple are parents to daughter and actress Tina Ahuja, and son Yashvardhan Ahuja, who is preparing for his Bollywood debut.

On the professional front, Govinda was in the top league of actors in the 1990s era of Bollywood.

Delivering blockbuster films such as ‘Coolie No. 1’, ‘Hero No. 1’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, ‘Raja Babu’, ‘Dulhe Raja’, ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’ and many more, the actor had become a superstar with his hardwork.

Last year, the actor made headlines after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his licensed revolver at his Mumbai residence in October 2024. He has underwent treatment and later recovered fully before being discharged from hospital.

A few months ago Govinda was seen dancing on a stage at an event in one of the tier 2 or 3 cities. Videos of his performance that went viral over social media, made his fans concerned about the superstar’s financial and emotional status.

A lot many netizens thought that the actor was probably in need of money which is why he said yes to dancing at a mid level event, and called his not suitable for his star status.
