Mumbai, June 7 (IANS) Actor Sidharth Malhotra, on Sunday, took to social media to share a heartfelt birthday wish for Ekta Kapoor.
The ‘Shershaah’ actor sent his love and hugs, along with a playful message, as he extended warm greetings to the producer on her special day. Taking to his Instagram stories, Sidharth posted an image of them and captioned it as “Happy Birthday, @Ektakapoor! Wishing you a Vvan-derful year ahead. Big love and hug.”(sic)
In the photo, Sidharth and Ekta can be seen smiling while posing together for the camera. The two are seen holding the comic book “Vvan.” This picture appears to have been taken during the launch of The Legend of Vvan comic book at Mumbai Comic Con 2026.
Last year, Sidharth Malhotra announced his new film titled VVAN – Force of the Forrest, which is said to be a folk thriller. The film, which also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, is now scheduled to release on August 28, 2026, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan. The folklore-inspired thriller is said to be set in the forests of Central India. Announcing the new release date, the makers wrote, Sharing the poster, the caption of the post reads, “Ektaa R Kapoor-TVF join forces: Sidharth Malhotra-Tamannaah Bhatia starrer ‘Vvan’ release date locked. 28 Aug 2026 [#RakshaBandhan] is the release date of #Vvan, a folklore-driven thriller.” The film was initially scheduled to release on May 15, 2026.
The project will be produced under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, along with The Viral Fever (TVF).
Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Param Sundari, where he starred alongside Janhvi Kapoor. The film was directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films.
