New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS) Lok Sabha MP from Vadodara Hemang Joshi formally took charge as the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) here on Monday, vowing to work with the youth, understand their aspirations and channelise their energy towards nation-building.
“Our collective goal will be to contribute to the realisation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047,” said 35-year-old Joshi at an event organised at BJP headquarters.
Joshi said that the youth of India are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but active partners in the transformation of the country today.
He said, “India’s youth power is the greatest strength of our nation. The BJYU will work to connect the youth of every corner of the country with the vision of a developed India 2047.”
“Our focus will be on strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level, increasing youth participation and creating platforms where young Indians can convert their ideas, innovations and aspirations into meaningful actions,” he said.
Earlier, Joshi started his day by offering prayers at the historic ancient Hanuman temple in New Delhi.
After this, he formally assumed the office of BJYM National President in the presence of Sunil Bansal, BJP National General Secretary and National In-Charge of BJYM, Tejasvi Surya, outgoing BJYM National President and Lok Sabha MP from Bengaluru South, and executive members from all over the country.
Bansal highlighted the role of BJYM workers in nation-building and said that the strength of the organisation lies in preparing such youth leaders, who contribute to various sectors of the society.
He said, “The BJYM not only prepares political workers, but it prepares nation builders. Our workers will advance in every sector of society, whether they become teachers, professors, scientists, entrepreneurs, professionals or social workers and in whatever field they go, they will contribute to strengthening the society and the nation.”
