New Delhi, July 22 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will on Wednesday organise booth-level conferences across all 403 Assembly constituencies in the state as part of a major organisational outreach aimed at strengthening its grassroots network ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
According to the party, simultaneous conferences will be held at all 1,77,516 polling booths across Uttar Pradesh, making it one of the BJP’s largest booth-level mobilisation exercises in the state.
Senior BJP leaders, including state president Pankaj Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma, are scheduled to participate in conferences across different districts.
State BJP chief Chaudhary will attend a booth conference in Laharpur in Sitapur district. Deputy Chief Minister Maurya will participate in the event in Bareilly, while Deputy Chief Minister Pathak is scheduled to address party workers at a conference in Shahjahanpur. Energy Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma will attend a booth conference in Lucknow.
The BJP said the simultaneous organisation of conferences at every polling booth across all Assembly constituencies would set a new organisational benchmark in Uttar Pradesh.
The conferences are expected to bring together booth presidents, party workers and local office-bearers to review organisational preparedness, strengthen coordination and intensify grassroots outreach. Party leaders are also expected to interact with workers and discuss strategies for expanding the BJP’s presence at the booth level.
The exercise forms part of the BJP’s broader preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with the party placing renewed emphasis on its booth-centric electoral strategy. The conferences are also aimed at assessing the strength of booth committees, gathering feedback from the grassroots and reinforcing communication between local workers and the party leadership.
According to reports, the BJP considers booth-level organisation central to its election strategy and has been using such conventions to evaluate cadre strength, identify organisational gaps and recalibrate its campaign at the constituency level.
