Bengaluru: The recruitment process for 7,905 police constable posts under Karnataka’s Home Department was completed in three and a half months, with Home Minister Priyank Kharge stressing that the exercise was conducted transparently through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
In a post on social media platform X, Kharge said the recruitment process, from issuing the notification to announcing the results, was completed within the stipulated period without scope for confusion, delays or irregularities.
He said several measures were adopted to prevent malpractice during the recruitment process. Technology was used extensively, including uploading the OMR answer sheets on the KEA website on the same day the examination was conducted, he said.

Kharge attributed the smooth completion of the recruitment process to effective coordination and cooperation between the KEA and the Home Department.
He said the government was committed to ensuring that there were no lapses in recruitment, adding that the objective was to give young aspirants confidence in their future, create better employment opportunities and help them build a secure future.
The minister said the recruitment exercise demonstrated the importance of transparency and technology in completing large-scale government recruitment processes efficiently.
