CM Mohan Yadav to transfer 40th Ladli Behna instalment to 1.25 crore MP women tomorrow

Bhopal, Sep 12 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will transfer the 40th monthly instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana to the bank accounts of 1.25 crore eligible women from Agar Malwa on Sunday, involving a total amount of Rs 1,835.09 crore, the state government said on Saturday.

With the September instalment, the total amount disbursed as regular monthly financial assistance under the scheme since its launch will reach Rs 65,395.99 crore, it said.

The scheme was launched in June 2023 with a monthly assistance of Rs 1,000.

The amount was increased by Rs 250 in October 2023 and later raised by another Rs 250, taking the current monthly assistance to Rs 1,500.

As per the scheme rules, eligible women who are already receiving Rs 900 per month under the Social Security Pension Scheme are also covered, with the difference in amount being provided under Ladli Behna scheme.

The state government said 39 regular monthly instalments had been transferred between June 2023 and August 2026, while the 40th instalment will be released on September 13.

In addition to the regular assistance, eligible women were given special financial assistance of Rs 250 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in August 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026.

A total of Rs 63,560.90 crore was transferred to beneficiaries under the scheme between June 2023 and August 2026, while expenditure during the 2026-27 financial year is estimated at Rs 11,300 crore up to September.

The state government has made a budgetary provision of Rs 23,882.81 crore for the scheme for 2026-27.

During his Agar Malwa visit, Chief Minister Yadav will also perform the groundbreaking ceremony for 33 development projects worth more than Rs 225 crore and inaugurate 17 projects valued at more than Rs 28 crore, the state government said.
