Mysuru: The 23rd Chaturmasya celebrations of junior pontiff Sri Sri Datta Vijayananda Tirtha Swamiji are being held with various religious programmes at the Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama in Mysuru.
As part of the celebrations, the seer performed Go Puja, followed by a bhajan seva by the Kadapa Ashram bhajan team. He also performed Sri Chakra Puja during the day.
Later, Sri Datta Vijayananda Tirtha Swamiji attended the 111th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr Sri Shivarajendra Mahaswamiji held at Suttur Mutt in Mysuru.
Former chief minister, Mysuru district in-charge minister, MPs and several other dignitaries were present at the programme.
In the evening, the seer delivered a discourse on the Vishnu Purana as part of the religious gathering held at the Paundarika Mantapa at the ashram. A large number of devotees attended the discourse and participated in the religious proceedings.
