Bommai Urges Chikkaballapur Voters to Elect Sudhakar in 2028 for Yettinahole Project

Chikkaballapur: Former Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday urged voters to elect BJP leader K Sudhakar from Chikkaballapur in the 2028 Assembly elections, saying his return to the legislature would help expedite the Yettinahole project and boost development in the drought-prone region.

Speaking at a Kannada Rajyotsava event organised under Sudhakar’s leadership, Bommai praised the former minister for continuing his public service despite his electoral defeat. He said Sudhakar had provided financial assistance of Rs 5,000 each to more than 12,000 underprivileged students.

Bommai recalled that Rs 9,000 crore was allocated to the Yettinahole project during his tenure as chief minister and said its completion would bring relief to drought-affected areas and benefit farmers.

He urged voters to support Sudhakar in 2028 to accelerate the constituency’s development.

Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R Ashoka, Legislative Council Opposition Leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy and MP K Sudhakar were among those present.
