Gwalior, April 4 (IANS) Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Saturday participated in multiple events, including a public hearing meeting held in Ashoknagar district, during his visit to his Lok Sabha constituency, Guna in Madhya Pradesh.
On the second day of his visit to the parliamentary constituency, Scindia inaugurated five completed projects worth Rs 9 crore, which included a Tehsil (Revenue Department) office building and an Anganwadi centre in Ashoknagar (part of the Guna Lok Sabha constituency).
Later, the Union Minister participated in a public hearing meeting held in Kachnar town in Ashoknagar district, during which he interacted with people who had arrived to get their problems resolved.
“Today, I visited Kachnar in the Ashoknagar Assembly constituency and understood the problems of local villagers with the utmost seriousness. I issued the necessary directions to resolve them on a priority basis. Through this ongoing process of public hearings, I have made it my firm resolve to resolve the problems faced by every single citizen,” he wrote on X.
The Minister mentioned that all complaints received at the public hearing were systematically registered using a token-based system, and many were resolved on the spot.
“I have issued clear directives to the concerned officials to ensure prompt and effective action on every single case. Online tracking is being ensured for the remaining pending matters to facilitate their timely and transparent resolution,” he added.
Scindia had started an initiative to organise village and Assembly-wise public hearings under his Guna Lok Sabha constituency last year, which has now entered its second phase.
On Friday, Scindia stayed for over three hours during a public hearing and received 1,048 applications from local residents.
He suggested that in cases where resolution appears difficult, the reasons must be clearly articulated, and matters pertaining to the Central and state levels should be forwarded to the appropriate authorities to ensure resolution.
