
Mumbai, August 22 (IANS) Actress Anushka Ranjan has expressed frustration over Mumbai’s traffic and pothole-ridden roads.
Calling the city a ‘pathetic’, she said that the constant traffic was ‘shaking’ her to the core.
Anushka took to her social media account to share a picture of her stuck in traffic on a Mumbai road, with vehicles seen lined up amid heavy congestion.
Alongside the picture, she wrote: “This city is a sh*t hole!!! Constant traffic and the potholes are shaking me to my core.. sickening, pathetic, yuck Thuuu!”
Her remarks come at a time when Mumbai’s potholes, traffic bottlenecks and infrastructure issues continue to be a major concern for citizens.
The actor, who was born and brought up in Mumbai, has been associated with the Hindi film and entertainment industry for over a decade.
She made her acting debut with the 2015 romantic comedy ‘Wedding Pulav”. She later appeared in Batti Gul Meter Chalu and featured in the web series Fittrat, among other projects.
Anushka is the daughter of filmmaker and producer Shashi Ranjan and actor and television personality Anu Ranjan.
On the personal front, Anushka married actor Aditya Seal on November 21, 2021, in Mumbai after being in a relationship for many years.
The couple recently entered a new chapter in their lives after announcing that they are expecting their first child. They shared the pregnancy news in May 2026 through a series of maternity pictures, with Anushka describing it as one of their “most awaited dreams.”
Anushka also revealed that the baby is expected in September. Speaking about her pregnancy journey, in her YouTube vlog, she said she was initially nervous about announcing the news but later felt relaxed after receiving an overwhelming response from family, friends and well-wishers.
In June, Anushka and Aditya celebrated a traditional Godh Bharai ceremony with their families. Anushka had shared glimpses from the intimate celebration on social media, including pictures with Aditya and their loved ones.
