Bengaluru: A ‘Seva Sankalpa’ programme was organised in Dayanandanagar ward of Rajajinagar assembly constituency on Wednesday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
As part of the programme, a renovated sports ground was inaugurated and the inter-school ‘Modi Cup-2026’ volleyball tournament was launched.
Former education minister and Rajajinagar MLA S. Suresh Kumar inaugurated the programme and flagged off the volleyball tournament. Former BBMP corporators M. Muniraju and Shakeela Muniraju, BJP mandal secretary M.S. Sanjay Kumar and other party leaders attended the event.

Suresh Kumar praises Modi’s tenure
Speaking at the event, Suresh Kumar said Modi was working as a “prime servant” of the people and claimed that India had emerged as a stronger nation during his tenure.
He referred to the measures taken during the Covid-19 pandemic and Operation Sindoor, saying they had demonstrated India’s capabilities to the world.
He said the birthday celebrations were being held under the ‘Seva Sankalpa’ initiative and included the inter-school volleyball tournament, inauguration of the renovated sports ground and a drinking water facility, distribution of water cans and felicitation of women civic workers.
500 water cans distributed
Women civic workers inaugurated the Sri Devi Gangamma clean drinking water facility. Later, 500 water cans, each with a capacity of 20 litres, were distributed to members of the public.
Women civic workers were also felicitated during the programme.
BJP central general secretary Raghavendra Rao, mandal president Sudarshan, general secretary Girish Gowda and other local party leaders were present.
