Mumbai: BJP MLA Ram Kadam on Wednesday criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), saying political criticism should be based on proper research and factual understanding.
Kadam said Gandhi had the right to engage in political accusations, counter-accusations and sharp criticism, but argued that he should study the organisation before making public comments about it.
Questioning Gandhi’s understanding of the RSS, the BJP legislator pointed to its women’s wing, claiming that women associated with the organisation work across the country and hold prominent roles.

“Are you going to tweet from your X handle based on incomplete information just to grab headlines? At the very least, get your facts straight,” Kadam said.
He further described Gandhi’s alleged approach to posting on social media as “childish” and “immature”, adding that such conduct was unbecoming of a Leader of the Opposition.
