Mumbai, September 4 (IANS) Star comedian and host Bharti Singh and her writer and host husband, writer-producer and host Haarsh Limbachiyaa are celebrating Janmashtami with double the joy this year as they celebrate the festival with their two little sons, Gola and Kaju.
The couple, who host the entertainment show Indian Game Show with Bharti and Harssh, spoke about their family’s Janmashtami celebrations, their love for the festival and how becoming parents to two boys has made the occasion even more special for them.
Bharti, exclusively told IANS, how Janmashtami has always been among the happiest festivals for her as it brings excitement, devotion and family time together.
“For me, Janmashtami has always been one of the happiest festivals because it fills the house with so much excitement, devotion and family time. Ever since Gola was born, I wait for this day to dress him up as little Krishna, and now with Kaju, my heart feels twice as full. Watching my two little Krishnas smile, play and celebrate together is a memory I want to cherish forever,” she said.
She further added, “At home, we make our own little Dahi Handi celebration, and everyone joins in with so much enthusiasm. I truly believe festivals become meaningful when children experience them with their family and grow up understanding the stories and values behind them. This year, bringing that same Janmashtami spirit to Indian Game Show with Bharti and Harssh made it even more special. We laughed, played and celebrated together, and I hope our audience feels the same festive joy while watching it with their loved ones.”
Haarsh also spoke about the importance of introducing children to Indian festivals and traditions from an early age. He said Janmashtami brings a special energy and warmth to their home and that he wants his children to grow up understanding the traditions behind the celebrations.
“Janmashtami is one of those festivals that brings so much joy, energy and warmth into the home. I feel it is important that our children grow up knowing about all our festivals and understanding the beautiful traditions behind them, rather than just celebrating them as occasions,” he said.
He further added, “At home, we make sure to celebrate Janmashtami in our own little way. We bring a handi home and create our own Dahi Handi celebration, and we dress Gola up as little Krishna before breaking the handi. Now, with Kaju also in our lives, it feels even more special because there are two little Bal Krishnas in our house.”
Haarsh also shared how the festive spirit has extended to their professional life this year, with Indian Game Show with Bharti and Harssh featuring a special game around Janmashtami.
“Seeing them dressed as Krishna and celebrating the festival together is such a beautiful feeling. This year, we have also brought the Janmashtami spirit to Indian Game Show with Bharti and Harssh with a special game around the festival. Playing it together was so much fun, and it made the celebration even more exciting,” he said.
He concluded, “These are the traditions and memories I want my children to grow up with, because festivals are not just about a day on the calendar, they are about bringing the family together and passing on our culture and stories to the next generation.”
For the uninitiated, Bharti and Haarsh tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their first child, son Laksh, fondly known as Gola, on April 3, 2022.
The couple welcomed their second son, Yashveer, affectionately called Kaju, on December 19, 2025. They later revealed his name as Yashveer, but they continue to use Kaju as his family nickname.
