Bengaluru: In Bengaluru, a woman named Junti Das from Assam has been arrested for stabbing her partner, Jogesh, also from Assam, leaving him in critical condition. Both Junti and Jogesh are 37 years old.
According to the police, Jogesh, who worked as a security guard and resided in a rented house in Ejipura locality, had been in a relationship with Junti for about two years. However, in recent times, Jogesh started distancing himself from Junti, causing her distress.
On July 21, Junti visited Jogesh’s house to address his behavior and asked him to return Rs 15,000 that he had borrowed from her. An intense argument ensued between the two, escalating tensions further. In a fit of anger, Junti went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and mercilessly stabbed Jogesh multiple times in the stomach before fleeing the scene.
Upon hearing Jogesh’s cries for help, neighbors rushed him to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment and fighting for his life.
Following specific information, the police managed to apprehend Junti while she was attempting to flee to Assam by train. She is presently in judicial custody, and a thorough investigation into the matter is underway.
