Amaravati, Sep 4 (IANS) Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu have greeted people on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami.
“I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of Andhra Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishnashtami. The festival of Sri Krishnashtami is celebrated with joy and devotion,” Andhra Governor said in his message.
“The day reminds us of the eternal message of Lord Sri Krishna, delivered through Bhagavad Gita, affirming the foundation for building a harmonious society. I wish this auspicious occasion to be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity and further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, amity and harmony among all the people of the State,” Governor Abul Nazeer said.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also conveyed best wishes to all Telugu people on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami. He noted that the incarnation of Sri Krishna is yet another avatar taken by Lord Maha Vishnu to counter unrighteousness.
“He is the ‘Jagadguru’ who imparted the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna, enlightening him about his duty during the great Kurukshetra war. I sincerely pray that the protection of Sri Krishna remains with you and your family always. Wishing everyone a joyous celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also greeted people. He stated that the birth of Lord Sri Krishna—who imparted the teachings of duty, righteousness (Dharma), and truth to humanity through the Bhagavad Gita—reminds us of spiritual values as well as the essential principles of life. “Sri Krishna’s life inspires us to stand courageously in the face of adversity, perform our duties with commitment, and walk the path of righteousness,” he said.
Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Pary president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also greeted people on Janmashtami.
“Wishing everyone a very Happy Sri Krishnashtami; may everyone prosper in happiness and well-being through the grace of Lord Sri Krishna, who upheld righteousness and proclaimed to the world that truth ultimately triumphs,” he said.
