Ayodhya: Vijayadashami was celebrated with traditional grandeur and religious fervour at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya on October 20, with special rituals marking the culmination of Sharadiya Navratri.
According to a post by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra on X, the celebrations included the Panchamrit Mahabhishek of Lord Ram Lalla, followed by Shastra Puja and the offering of Chhappan Bhog. Rituals dedicated to the weapons of Maa Durga were also performed on the auspicious occasion.

In a special initiative, the temple trust organised Kanya Puja, honouring 18 young girls as manifestations of the Devi. At the temple’s Yajnashala, their feet were washed and they were worshipped before being served traditional food and presented with gifts and dakshina.
Swami Dinendra Das of the Nyas served as the chief yajman for the ceremonies. The rituals marked the conclusion of the nine-day Navratri observances, reflecting the temple’s spiritual traditions and the significance of Vijayadashami in Sanatan Dharma.
