
New Delhi, September 7 (IANS) A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death by a fellow worker at a factory near Chauhan Bangar’s Millat Mosque in the Jafrabad police station area of Northeast Delhi, triggering panic in the locality.
The deceased, identified as Sahil, a resident of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh and son of Faheem, worked and lived at a factory owned by Azam Khan, son of Ghaus Mohammad, in Bangar Gali No. 4.
According to the police, at around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jafrabad police station received information from JPC Hospital about a man who had been brought there with stab injuries. Doctors declared him brought dead.
During the preliminary investigation, police found that Sahil was allegedly stabbed by a fellow employee at the factory. Police and Crime Branch teams reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
The Forensic Science Team also visited the scene and collected evidence as part of the investigation. Police said a case has been registered at the Jafrabad police station under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the suspect. Further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, in another incident in East Delhi, a young man was allegedly beaten to death with sticks and rods by unidentified persons in the Mayur Vihar Phase-3 area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the New Ashok Nagar police station.
Police received information about the incident at around 5 a.m. on Sunday and immediately reached the spot. The area was cordoned off, and an investigation was launched. However, several hours after the incident, the identity of the deceased remained unknown.
Police took the body into custody and preserved it for a post-mortem examination. Officials are also checking missing persons’ records at nearby police stations to establish the victim’s identity.
According to the police, the preliminary investigation suggests that the incident may have been linked to personal rivalry, robbery or another dispute. However, the exact motive will be established only after the accused are identified and apprehended.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
