New Delhi, July 24 (IANS) Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra said on Friday that the growing frustration among Aam Aadmi Party leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal, has become evident after social activist Sonam Wangchuk, associated with the CJP movement, ended his hunger strike and talks between the students and the Central government began.
Malhotra said AAP National Convenor Kejriwal and his team had pinned hopes on this “CJP” movement, allegedly sponsored by AAP leaders, to make a political comeback in Delhi and Punjab.
However, with Sonam Wangchuk ending his hunger strike over the past 24 hours and the possibility of an agreement between the government and the students increasing, the entire AAP leadership has now openly come forward to provoke protestors to continue their agitation.
The BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fully sensitive to the problems faced by students, including issues such as paper leaks, which is why it has taken the initiative to introduce stringent laws, he said.
On the other hand, Kejriwal’s silence over the pharmacy examination paper leak in Punjab is proof of his double standards.
Today, along with Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Gopal Rai, who has been missing from Delhi for the past year, have also started making irrational statements about the students’ movement, said Malhotra.
They have shamelessly begun criticising Prime Minister Modi’s proposal to enact a stringent anti-paper leak law, with provisions for trials through fast-track courts, following a discussion in Parliament.
Malhotra said it is clear that Kejriwal wanted to prolong the students’ movement to revive his political relevance. Still, the possibility of an agreement between the government and the students has shattered his dreams.
Now, he has openly resorted to making statements to provoke the students, said the Delhi BJP chief.
