Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday expressed happiness over the state’s transport corporation entering the global stage after bagging two historic world records certified by the London Book of World Records.
Taking to social media, the CM said the government’s Shakti scheme has empowered women through mobility, enabling 564.10 crore free bus rides since its launch. “The Shakti scheme has become a symbol of women’s freedom, confidence, and access,” he said.
Highlighting the corporation’s achievements, Siddaramaiah noted that KSRTC has received 464 national and international honours since 1997, making it the world’s most awarded road transport corporation.
“Our administration’s vision is rooted in social justice, women empowerment, and world-class public service. These recognitions reflect what comprehensive and compassionate policymaking can achieve,” the CM added.
